Floor & Décor store slated for West Palm Beach following land deal

A developer acquired land near West Palm Beach to construct a store for Floor & Décor.

This would be the Atlanta-based flooring retailer’s third location in Palm Beach County, with the others in Boynton Beach and Riviera Beach. Arrigo Enterprises, managed by auto dealer James. J. Arrigo in West Palm Beach, sold the vacant site of 8.25 acres at 6500 Okeechobee Blvd. for $9 million to MG WPB LLC, managed by Jonathan Samuel of

Miami-based Trikon Capital and Midtown Group. Valley National Bank provide a $5 million mortgage to the buyer. Flagship Retail Advisors President Josh Wade, who brokered the deal, said the buyer plans to build a showroom of about 80,000 square feet for Floor & Décor. That is pending county approval, as the site is currently zoned for automotive sales. The vacant land was left over from Arrigo Enterprises selling its neighbouring auto dealership in 2020.

“The sale of this well-positioned development site represents the continued demand we’re seeing from retailers and developers throughout South Florida,” Wade said. “This highly visible and strategic location is in close proximity to the Turnpike and provides a unique opportunity for a large-format retailer to capture a regional draw
and enter one of the premier retail corridors in Palm Beach County.”

Officials with Floor & Décor couldn’t be reached for comment.

Palm Beach County is a lucrative market for flooring because there’s plenty of single-family home construction and many people who have elected to stay in their homes have decided to spend money on renovations.
